Hi, I'm Sage / Sei (セイ) – design student, chronically offline disaster, and self-taught coder behind Sei Out Loud. I got my first taste of web-design in a community college course about three years ago, and have been continuing to learn off and on ever since. This corner of the internet is a digital playground I missed out on growing up, and a sort of sanctuary for the weird art kid that still lives inside of me. Expect multimedia art experiments, some fan art, weird digital shrines, random (sometimes unhinged) thoughts and written pieces that were born at 3 in the morning.
If I'm not slowly tinkering away at this site and accidentally breaking the javascript keeping this place functional, I'm usually studying, working at my job (I'm a dog groomer!), and becoming a slave to my many hobbies.
I might be a bit clumsy at making online connections (consider it the byproduct of being an ambiverted, strict-parented kid), but I promise I won't bite if you reach out or have any questions! Email me or chat with me on discord, I'll answer. :)
Welcome to my pocket of the internet.

← BACKHow does this site function?
The main version of this site runs on Vercel and features a built-in administrative panel. This panel allows me to instantly publish and manage content without manually editing any HTML or CSS files. (I haaaaate scrolling through lines of code, lol.)
All underlying text and content data (all my art, logs, letters, shrines, and even the bulletin board messages) are kept secure via Firebase, while the codebase is managed through GitHub. Whenever I push an update or add a post on the Vercel side, an automated GitHub YML workflow triggers to compile those changes and push a static mirror over to Neocities!.
Note on Neocities Login: If you are viewing this on Neocities and tried logging into the admin portal, it will not work. :p Because Neocities only hosts a static copy of the site, the secure serverless authentication routines only execute on the primary Vercel deployment.
